Bakery Production Hand (Early Shift)

Here in Randburg, a soft drink bottling plant needs steady people who can repeat a task well for eight hours. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll report in Randburg. Relocation is not covered for this one. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Help the machine operator clear jams and reload hoppers
• Change over packaging film and labels when the line switches product
• Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley
• Check product for size, weight and seal faults and pull out rejects
• Hand over at shift change with notes on rejects and stoppages

• No problem wearing full PPE, including ear protection
• Medically fit; some food plants ask for a medical check
• Neat, reliable and on time for shift start
• You follow hygiene rules without being reminded

• NQF Level 2 manufacturing learnership completed
• A food handler or basic HACCP awareness certificate

• Path to machine operator after six months
• Free PPE, overalls and hairnets
• Company transport on some night shifts
• Night-shift allowance on top of basic pay

• Do not wear jewellery or long nails to the interview if it is on site. Food factories notice and it counts.
• Name the products you worked on before, like "biscuit line" or "juice bottling". Factory recruiters read that faster than a job title.
