Bar Attendant (Weekend Shift)

You'll look after tables at a hotel restaurant in Atlantis, from the first greeting to the final bill. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

The work is in Atlantis, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Check back two minutes after mains land and fix problems on the spot.
• Greet guests, seat them and hand over menus within a minute of arrival.
• Set tables, polish cutlery and glasses, and check condiments before doors open.
• Refuse service to anyone under 18 or visibly drunk, as the Liquor Act requires.
• Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.
• Mix cocktails, pour draught and serve shooters to spec at the bar.

• Quick with basic maths and card machines
• Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
• Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays
• You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
• At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience

• Paid menu and wine tastings so you can sell with confidence
• Late-shift lift home within a set radius
• Uniform supplied and laundered

• Walk in with your CV between 2pm and 4pm when managers have time, not during lunch or dinner service.
