Bar Attendant (Weekend Shift) – Permanent

Good service at a beachfront cocktail bar in Epping starts with you: friendly, quick and on top of every order. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Location: Epping, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Set tables, polish cutlery and glasses, and check condiments before doors open.
• Restock the bar fridges and help with the weekly stock count.
• Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.
• Refuse service to anyone under 18 or visibly drunk, as the Liquor Act requires.
• Check back two minutes after mains land and fix problems on the spot.

• Own transport or a safe way home after late shifts
• Neat grooming and a friendly manner under pressure
• Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays
• At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience
• You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift

• A barista course certificate or latte-art skills
• A second language such as isiZulu, isiXhosa or Afrikaans
• Responsible Service of Alcohol training

• Uniform supplied and laundered
• You keep your own tips, paid out daily or weekly
• Staff meal on every shift
• Paid menu and wine tastings so you can sell with confidence
