Bar Attendant (Weekend Shift)

You'll look after tables at a hotel restaurant in Kariega, from the first greeting to the final bill. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll be based at a hotel restaurant in Kariega. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.
• Set tables, polish cutlery and glasses, and check condiments before doors open.
• Restock the bar fridges and help with the weekly stock count.
• Check back two minutes after mains land and fix problems on the spot.
• Mix cocktails, pour draught and serve shooters to spec at the bar.

• Neat grooming and a friendly manner under pressure
• Own transport or a safe way home after late shifts
• Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays
• Quick with basic maths and card machines
• At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience

• Late-shift lift home within a set radius
• You keep your own tips, paid out daily or weekly
• Paid menu and wine tastings so you can sell with confidence

• Walk in with your CV between 2pm and 4pm when managers have time, not during lunch or dinner service.
• Put the names of the restaurants you worked at and your average covers per shift at the top of your CV.
