Barista & Floor Waitron – Fixed-Term

This is a floor job at a busy mall coffee shop in Richards Bay where your tips follow your service. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Location: Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Take orders on the POS tablet and read them back to avoid kitchen mistakes.
• Explain specials, allergens and wine pairings in plain words.
• Check back two minutes after mains land and fix problems on the spot.
• Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.
• Pull espresso shots and steam milk for flat whites and cappuccinos.

• You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
• Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays
• You speak clear English and can chat easily with guests
• Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
• Own transport or a safe way home after late shifts
• Quick with basic maths and card machines

• A barista course certificate or latte-art skills
• Wine knowledge from a WSET Level 1 or wine farm stint
• A second language such as isiZulu, isiXhosa or Afrikaans

• You keep your own tips, paid out daily or weekly
• Paid menu and wine tastings so you can sell with confidence
• Staff meal on every shift
