Job Description

A telecoms provider in Durban Central needs dashboards people trust and numbers that add up. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll report in Durban Central. Relocation is not covered for this one. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

What you'll actually do

Build ETL pipelines in SSIS, Azure Data Factory or Python
Mask or remove personal information in data sets under POPIA
Check data quality and trace odd numbers back to the source
Automate weekly reports that used to take hours in Excel
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models
Present findings to managers in plain language with clear charts
Write SQL to pull, join and clean data from several sources

What you need

Strong SQL, including joins, window functions and CTEs
Careful with sensitive customer data
Degree in statistics, maths, computer science, economics or a related field
At least 2 years in a data or reporting role (not needed for graduate posts)
Advanced Excel
Able to explain what the numbers mean, not just show them

Extra points for

Experience with Databricks, Snowflake or Fabric
Python with pandas for data wrangling
