Boilermaker (Mine Surface Workshop) – Immediate Start

You'll keep machines, conveyors and shafts running at the coal mine engineering workshop near Lephalale. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The site is in Lephalale; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Repair and align conveyor belt drives, pulleys and idlers
• Fault-find hydraulic, electrical and engine faults on trackless machines
• Maintain pumps, fans and compressors in shafts and on surface
• Complete job cards and work orders in SAP after each task
• Isolate and lock out machines under the site isolation procedure
• Guide and teach an artisan assistant on the job

• N3 certificate or Grade 12 with maths and science
• Able to read schematics, hydraulic circuits or wiring diagrams
• Understands MHSA duties for artisans, including lockout and permits
• Certificate of fitness for underground or surface work
• Willing to do standby and call-outs on a roster

• Flameproof equipment training for coal mines
• Government Certificate of Competency studies in progress
• SAP PM module experience

• Housing support in the mining town
• Study assistance for engineering qualifications
• Artisan allowance on top of basic pay

• Your trade test certificate must show the trade and the date. Keep a certified copy ready because mines verify it.
• State your trade and the machines or equipment you know best, for example "fitter: conveyors, crushers and pumps".
