Bookkeeper to Trial Balance (Sage Pastel)

You'll keep the books clean and up to date for a construction contractor in Fourways. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

Home base is a construction contractor on the Fourways side of Gauteng.

• Reconcile bank accounts daily and clear unallocated items
• Send customer statements and phone accounts that are over 60 days
• Capture supplier invoices and customer receipts on Sage or Xero
• Prepare VAT201 workings for the accountant to submit on SARS eFiling
• Match orders, delivery notes and invoices before a payment goes out
• Reconcile creditors statements and sort out differences with suppliers
• Post month-end journals for accruals, prepayments and depreciation

• Good with Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables and simple formulas
• Matric with Accounting
• Bookkeeping certificate or diploma (ICB, FASSET learnership or similar)
• Accurate with figures and careful with supplier bank details

• Office hours with no weekend work
• Paid study leave for bookkeeping exams
• Hybrid work after probation at some practices
