Out on the road for a snack and confectionery wholesaler in Cape Town CBD, your car is your office and the store floor is your pitch. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is Cape Town CBD-based, with most of your time spent at a snack and confectionery wholesaler. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Collect cash or EFT proof on van sales and bank daily.
• Send your manager a daily report with volumes against target.
• Open new accounts with taverns, spazas and independent retailers.
• Check shelf prices against the promo list and fix wrong tickets.
• Track competitor pricing and new products in your area.
• Run in-store tastings and demos on month-end weekends.

• You know the townships, suburbs and main roads of your area
• You can work to daily and monthly volume targets
• Physically able to lift cases and pack shelves
• Matric
• Good with people from store managers to tuck-shop owners
• 1 to 3 years of FMCG, merchandising or route sales experience

• Existing relationships with independent retailers
• A sales or marketing certificate

• Branded uniform and safety boots
• Monthly commission on volume and new accounts
• Company vehicle or car allowance plus petrol card
