Brand Promoter (In-Store Demos) – Fixed-Term

This pet food manufacturer needs a rep in Pietermaritzburg who knows the shops, the owners and the numbers. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

You'll report in Pietermaritzburg. Relocation is not covered for this one. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Open new accounts with taverns, spazas and independent retailers.
• Send your manager a daily report with volumes against target.
• Take orders from store managers and spaza owners on the sales app.
• Handle returns and credit claims for damaged stock.
• Check shelf prices against the promo list and fix wrong tickets.

• Matric
• Good with people from store managers to tuck-shop owners
• 1 to 3 years of FMCG, merchandising or route sales experience
• You know the townships, suburbs and main roads of your area

• A sales or marketing certificate
• Your own reliable car for a car-allowance position

• Product samples and staff pricing
• Cellphone and data allowance
• Company vehicle or car allowance plus petrol card

• Bring numbers: cases sold per month, new outlets opened or growth percentages on your route.
• Name the areas you know and the store types you have serviced (supermarket chains, independents, spazas) in your CV summary.
