Job Description

Selling to companies takes patience; at this office equipment supplier in Pinetown, big deals are worth the wait. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll be based at an office equipment supplier in Pinetown. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

The work, day to day

Visit key accounts monthly and check how the service is going.
Prospect new companies by phone, LinkedIn and walk-ins in business parks.
Negotiate contract terms, rentals and service-level agreements.
Forecast monthly sales and report pipeline value each Monday.
Chase overdue accounts with the credit department before they grow.
Attend trade shows and industry breakfasts to meet buyers.
Respond to RFQs and tenders with complete supplier packs, including B-BBEE certificates.

What you need

2 or more years of business-to-business sales with a proven record
Valid driver's licence and your own reliable car
Confident with Excel, Outlook and a CRM
You close deals, not just collect meetings
Resilient enough to handle long sales cycles and rejection
Solid presentation and negotiation skills
