Job Description

Guests at this hotel restaurant in Centurion come back for the people, and you'll be one of the reasons. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Home base is a hotel restaurant on the Centurion side of Gauteng.

The work, day to day

Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.
Explain specials, allergens and wine pairings in plain words.
Take orders on the POS tablet and read them back to avoid kitchen mistakes.
Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.
Restock the bar fridges and help with the weekly stock count.

You'll need

Quick with basic maths and card machines
You speak clear English and can chat easily with guests
You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
Neat grooming and a friendly manner under pressure
At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience
Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
