Bricklayer (Face Brick & Plaster Brick) – Entry Level

The residential renovation company in Epping needs skilled hands and helpers who know the basics of the building trade. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Home base is a residential renovation company on the Epping side of Western Cape.

• Carry bricks and materials to the workface and keep the scaffold clear
• Wear your hard hat, boots and harness wherever the foreman says
• Build and strip formwork for columns, beams and slabs
• Mix mortar and plaster to the right ratio for the job
• Fix roof trusses, purlins and brandering for ceilings

• Punctual every morning, even in winter
• Safety boots of your own for the first week, if possible
• Understands basic site safety like scaffolds and open trenches
• Physically strong enough for a full day of lifting and bending outside
• Willing to move between sites in the same city

• Your own trowels, levels and tile cutter
• Experience on NHBRC-registered housing projects

• PPE supplied: hard hat, gloves, reflective vest
• Transport from a pick-up point to site
• Weekly or fortnightly pay, always on time
• Chance to move up to a gang leader post

• Be ready to do a short practical test on site. Arrive early with your own tools if you have them.
• Bring photos of your work on your phone. A foreman believes a straight wall more than a long CV.
