Job Description

You'll mix, carry, dig and clean up so the tradespeople on a shopping centre renovation in eMalahleni can keep building. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

The work is in eMalahleni, Mpumalanga, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

What you'll actually do

Cut and lay paving bricks along string lines
Dig trenches and foundations to the depth the foreman marks
Set up barriers, cones and signs around open trenches
Carry bricks, blocks and cement bags to where the bricklayers work
Help offload deliveries of steel, timber and pipes

What you need

Physically strong and fit for outdoor work in all weather
A clean record is preferred for some government sites
Able to follow instructions from a foreman or artisan
Willing to start early, often at 06:30

Nice if you have

Some experience with a jackhammer, grinder or plate compactor
Previous site work you can show with a reference

What you get

Paid weekly or fortnightly
Boots, hard hat and overalls issued on site
Learn from artisans with a chance to move up to assistant
