Building Maintenance Handyman (Residential Estate)

Every day is different here: small repairs, painting and planned maintenance at the rental property portfolio in Mamelodi. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

This post is Mamelodi-based, with most of your time spent at a rental property portfolio.

• Get quotes from outside contractors and let them in for bigger jobs
• Keep the maintenance store tidy and track stock used
• Lay and repair floor tiles and re-grout wet areas
• Patch, sand and paint walls, doors and ceilings between tenants
• Work through the maintenance log each morning and prioritise urgent requests

• Basic painting, tiling, plumbing and carpentry skills
• Honest and trusted to work inside occupied units
• Your own tools are a plus, but safe tool handling is a must
• Grade 10 at least; matric is a plus

• Gate motor and intercom repair skills
• Experience with a work order system on a phone app

• Training on specialised equipment like gate motors and pool plant
• Uniform and safety boots supplied
• On-site accommodation at some estates
