Building Maintenance Handyman (Residential Estate)

The residential security estate in Rustenburg needs a reliable all-rounder to keep the buildings safe and looking good. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Rustenburg-based, with most of your time spent at a residential security estate.

• Get quotes from outside contractors and let them in for bigger jobs
• Hang doors, fit locks and adjust sliding door rails
• Check fire extinguishers, emergency lights and escape routes on a monthly checklist
• Patch, sand and paint walls, doors and ceilings between tenants
• Replace tap washers, cisterns, shower heads and toilet seats
• Clear gutters and fix minor roof leaks with sealant
• Change globes, fluorescent tubes and plug covers (no DB work)

• Honest and trusted to work inside occupied units
• Code 08 licence to run errands to the hardware store
• At least 2 years of general building maintenance work you can back up with references
• Your own tools are a plus, but safe tool handling is a must
• Available for the occasional weekend emergency
• Basic painting, tiling, plumbing and carpentry skills

• Uniform and safety boots supplied
• Training on specialised equipment like gate motors and pool plant
• Meals on duty at hotel sites
