Bus Driver (Staff Transport, PrDP P)

You'll carry passengers safely around Brackenfell for a staff transport contractor, on time and by the timetable. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll be based at a staff transport contractor in Brackenfell. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding
• Pick up and drop off schoolchildren only at approved points
• Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable
• Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit
• Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters
• Follow speed limits strictly; buses are tracked

• Medically fit
• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
• At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
• Patient and friendly with passengers
• Punctual for very early starts
• Valid PrDP for passengers (P)

• Split-shift allowance on staff transport routes
• Company uniform
• Paid passenger PrDP renewal

• Mention the number of passengers you have driven and the vehicle type, like "65-seater" or "22-seater midibus".
• Write "PrDP P valid until" with the date, right at the top of your CV. It is the first thing a bus operator checks.
