Business Studies Lecturer (Private College) – Experienced

A corporate training academy in Durban Central needs a facilitator who can teach, assess and keep the paperwork audit-ready. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at a corporate training academy in Durban Central. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Assess portfolios of evidence and write clear feedback to learners
• Load learner results onto the SETA or QCTO system
• Facilitate classroom and workplace sessions against the learning programme
• Sit in on workplace visits to confirm learners are doing real tasks
• Run practical demonstrations in the workshop with safety briefings
• Develop lesson plans, case studies and assessment guides

• Confident presenting to groups of 20 or more adults
• Good report writing and record keeping
• At least 3 years of working experience in the subject field
• Computer literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Relevant qualification at least one NQF level above the one you'll teach
• Registered assessor, with moderator registration for moderator posts

• Experience with learning management systems such as Moodle
• Experience with QCTO occupational qualifications
• SDF registration and WSP/ATR submission experience

• Holiday breaks between intakes at colleges
• Paid re-registration with your SETA
• Day-rate contracts with steady bookings
