Job Description

Start in retail here: a neighbourhood supermarket in Isando trains packers who show up and work neat. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

The site is in Isando; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

What your day looks like

  • Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves
  • Put up price tickets and promotion shelf strips
  • Face products so labels point forward and gaps are filled
  • Collect trolleys from the parking lot
  • Build promotional displays at the ends of aisles
  • Unpack deliveries in the receiving area and sort by aisle

You'll need

  • Grade 10 or matric
  • Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
  • Neat appearance and punctual
  • Able to stand and lift cases all shift
  • Honest, since stock losses are checked closely

What you get

  • Staff discount on groceries
  • Paid training in store procedures
  • Chance to move into till or department roles
  • Travel allowance on merchandising routes
