Stock Packer (Distribution Centre)

Every order that leaves this pharmaceutical warehouse in Germiston passes through your hands first. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Germiston-based, with most of your time spent at a pharmaceutical warehouse. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Unpack returned parcels and sort them into resell or write-off
• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns

• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• You can read product codes and count accurately
• South African ID or a valid work permit

• Basic computer skills for capturing counts
• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse

• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Safety boots, overalls and freezer jackets supplied
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals

• If you have done any stock counts, packing or even shelf work before, list it first. It shows you already know how to handle stock.
• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
