Job Description

Here in Isando, a meat processing plant needs steady people who can repeat a task well for eight hours. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

The site is in Isando; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

What you'll actually do

  • Help the machine operator clear jams and reload hoppers
  • Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley
  • Record batch codes and counts on the hourly production sheet
  • Change over packaging film and labels when the line switches product
  • Clean down machines and floors at the end of each run
  • Follow lock-out procedures when helping with cleaning inside machines

What you need

  • Medically fit; some food plants ask for a medical check
  • You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
  • Available for rotating day and night shifts
  • Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area
