Job Description

Pick it right, pack it neat, send it out: that's the job at an online grocery fulfilment hub in Sandton. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is Sandton-based, with most of your time spent at an online grocery fulfilment hub. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

What you'll actually do

Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
Replenish empty pick faces from overstock racking
Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
Stack finished orders on pallets and stretch-wrap them tight

Must-haves

South African ID or a valid work permit
Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
Happy to work shifts, weekends and public holidays in peak season

Helpful, not essential

Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse
A valid forklift or reach truck certificate
Basic computer skills for capturing counts
