Butchery Packer (Supermarket)

Start in retail here: a liquor store in Lephalale trains packers who show up and work neat. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll report in Lephalale. Relocation is not covered for this one. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves
• Check sell-by dates and pull expired stock for the manager
• Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables
• Collect trolleys from the parking lot
• Put up price tickets and promotion shelf strips
• Clean spills fast and put up wet-floor signs
• Face products so labels point forward and gaps are filled

• Able to stand and lift cases all shift
• Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
• Grade 10 or matric
• Neat appearance and punctual
• Polite with customers and happy to help
• Honest, since stock losses are checked closely

• Staff discount on groceries
• Paid training in store procedures
• Travel allowance on merchandising routes

• Hand your CV in at the store in person, early in the week, and ask for the store or receiving manager by name.
• If you have ever sold anything, even at a school tuck shop or a family stall, list it. It shows you are comfortable with customers.
