Job Description

You'll keep the shelves full and tidy at a township shopping centre store in Sandton, so shoppers find what they came for. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is Sandton-based, with most of your time spent at a township shopping centre store. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What you'll actually do

Put up price tickets and promotion shelf strips
Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables
Check sell-by dates and pull expired stock for the manager
Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves
Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
Face products so labels point forward and gaps are filled

You'll need

Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
Basic reading and maths for price checks
Neat appearance and punctual
Grade 10 or matric
Polite with customers and happy to help

Nice if you have

Being 18 or older for liquor store roles
Own transport for route merchandising jobs
Some till or cash-handling experience
