Job Description

Write clean code, review pull requests and fix what breaks at a logistics software company in Khayelitsha. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

Home base is a logistics software company on the Khayelitsha side of Western Cape. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

What you'll actually do

Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning
Deploy through a CI/CD pipeline on Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab
Document how your features work for support and new developers
Investigate production bugs using logs and monitoring dashboards

What you need

Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
Experience writing automated tests
Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days

Extra points for

Docker and Kubernetes experience
Cloud certification on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Public GitHub portfolio or published app
