CAD Technician (AutoCAD & Revit)

The process plant engineering firm in Tembisa needs a draughtsperson who gets the dimensions right the first time. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Location: Tembisa, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

• Model steel structures in Tekla and produce shop drawings and cutting lists
• Produce bills of materials from 3D models
• Take site measurements to check existing conditions
• Prepare electrical single line diagrams and cable routing drawings
• Follow SANS 10111 drawing conventions and the office title block standard

• Understanding of engineering drawing standards and tolerances
• Advanced skills in AutoCAD plus one 3D package
• Neat and accurate, with a habit of checking your own work
• National Diploma or N6 in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering, or a draughting qualification
• Able to read engineers' mark-ups and ask the right questions
• At least 2 years working as a draughtsperson in your discipline

• Experience with plant piping design software
• Registration with ECSA as a Candidate Engineering Technician
• Revit or Civil 3D experience

• Hybrid work once you are settled in
• Two-screen workstation
• Paid training on new software
