If you like working with animals, a piggery near Paarl has steady, long-term work. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is Paarl-based, with most of your time spent at a piggery. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Clean pens, houses and milking equipment

• Move animals between camps or pens calmly

• Follow biosecurity rules like foot baths and clean overalls

• Gentle and patient with animals
• Able to live on the farm or close by
• Comfortable around large animals

• Supervisory experience for foreman roles
• Animal health or AgriSETA short course
• Basic farm maintenance skills

• Training in animal health
• Production bonus on milk yield or growth targets
• Farm housing on site
