Candidate Civil Engineer (ECSA)

You'll design and supervise infrastructure people use every day, with the road agency project office in Durban Central. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

The site is in Durban Central; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Check drawings from technicians and sign them for issue
• Chair site meetings and handle contractor queries
• Prepare tender documents under GCC 2015 or NEC contracts
• Apply for municipal wayleaves and building plan approvals
• Design reinforced concrete and steel structures to SANS 10100 and SANS 10162

• BEng, BSc Eng or BTech in Civil Engineering
• Experience with structural or hydraulic design software
• Good grasp of South African design codes for your field
• At least 3 years in design or construction supervision

• Master's degree in structural or water engineering
• Registration with SAICE and active CPD
• Contract management training for NEC or GCC
