Job Description

You'll design and supervise infrastructure people use every day, with the civil engineering consultancy in Rustenburg. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

What you'll actually do

Work out loads to SANS 10160 for buildings and structures
Prepare tender documents under GCC 2015 or NEC contracts
Design water pipelines, sewers and stormwater systems with hydraulic software
Design reinforced concrete and steel structures to SANS 10100 and SANS 10162
Chair site meetings and handle contractor queries
Check drawings from technicians and sign them for issue
Write design reports and handover documents

Must-haves

Good grasp of South African design codes for your field
BEng, BSc Eng or BTech in Civil Engineering
At least 3 years in design or construction supervision
Able to explain technical issues to clients and contractors

Extra points for

Contract management training for NEC or GCC
Experience on public sector infrastructure projects
