Job Description

Real machines, real budgets and real downtime targets at the food and beverage factory in Johannesburg CBD. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll be based at a food and beverage factory in Johannesburg CBD. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What you'll actually do

Mentor candidate engineers and artisans on technical problems
Write scopes of work and compare contractor quotes
Plan and track preventive maintenance in the CMMS with the artisans and planners
Prepare the maintenance budget and report monthly on spend
Hold the GMR 2.1 appointment and keep machinery safety legal on site

You'll need

Three or more years working as a qualified engineer, in industry or consulting
Able to manage contractors and budgets
Code 08 licence for site visits
BEng or BSc Eng in Mechanical Engineering, or a BTech or Advanced Diploma for technologist roles
Confident with 3D CAD software and engineering calculations
