Job Description

You'll watch the screens and radios at a vehicle tracking control centre in Kimberley, and send help the moment something is wrong. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll be based at a vehicle tracking control centre in Kimberley. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

The work, day to day

Track stolen vehicles on the map and guide recovery teams
Report camera faults and offline sites to the technicians
Hand over open incidents clearly at shift change
Keep call-out times and client passwords up to date
Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement
Answer alarm signals and phone clients to verify them

What you need

Good memory for sites, streets and procedures
PSIRA registration, Grade C or higher
No criminal convictions (vetting is done before you start)
Able to stay focused through 12-hour day and night shifts
Computer literate and quick on a keyboard
Matric

Helpful, not essential

CCTV operator short course
Speaking more than one local language
Call centre work in the past
