Job Description

From a chair in a shopping mall security office in Tembisa, you guide officers in the field to where they are needed. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

Location: Tembisa, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

What your day looks like

Hand over open incidents clearly at shift change
Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement
Report camera faults and offline sites to the technicians
Log every event and action on the monitoring software
Talk down intruders over on-site speakers when the system allows

Must-haves

Clear speaking voice on radio and phone
Able to stay focused through 12-hour day and night shifts
Matric
PSIRA registration, Grade C or higher
No criminal convictions (vetting is done before you start)
Computer literate and quick on a keyboard

Nice if you have

Call centre work in the past
CCTV operator short course
Speaking more than one local language
