Chalet Housekeeper (Self-Catering Resort) – Immediate Start

You'll clean and set up guest rooms at a self-catering resort in Germiston to a checklist standard. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll report in Germiston. Relocation is not covered for this one.

• Report broken fittings, leaks and damage to maintenance.
• Vacuum, mop and dust rooms from top to bottom.
• Do evening turndowns with chocolates and curtain closing.
• Strip beds, make them up with fresh linen and square the corners.
• Update room status on the housekeeping app or board after each room.
• Hand in lost property with a written log entry.
• Restock minibars, amenities and tea trays and note what was used.

• Fit enough to lift mattresses and push trolleys all day
• Grade 10 or higher
• You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow
• Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
• You can finish around 14 rooms in a shift
• Weekend and public holiday work

• Laundry machine and steam press experience
• Basic first aid certificate

• Monthly award for best room scores
• Meals on duty
• Staff transport from nearby townships for early shifts

• A clean, clear police clearance helps; mention it if you have a recent one.
• Many hotels recruit through walk-ins at the staff entrance, so ask for the housekeeping office and leave your CV there.
