Job Description

Housekeeping keeps a self-catering resort in Kimberley running quietly in the background. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

The work is in Kimberley, Northern Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

The work, day to day

Wash, dry and press linen and table cloths in the laundry.
Vacuum, mop and dust rooms from top to bottom.
Mix chemicals safely and store them as the MSDS sheet shows.
Report broken fittings, leaks and damage to maintenance.
Do evening turndowns with chocolates and curtain closing.

You'll need

Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
Weekend and public holiday work
Hotel, guesthouse or domestic cleaning experience
You can finish around 14 rooms in a shift

Helpful, not essential

Chemical handling training
A supervisor course or time spent running a floor
Laundry machine and steam press experience
