Job Description

Every room at this bush lodge in Rustenburg should feel brand new, and you'll make that happen. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is a bush lodge on the Rustenburg side of North West.

The work, day to day

Update room status on the housekeeping app or board after each room.
Mix chemicals safely and store them as the MSDS sheet shows.
Clean bathrooms, showers and toilets with the correct colour-coded cloths.
Inspect rooms against the checklist before release to front office.
Hand in lost property with a written log entry.
Do evening turndowns with chocolates and curtain closing.
Report broken fittings, leaks and damage to maintenance.

You'll need

Grade 10 or higher
Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
Fit enough to lift mattresses and push trolleys all day
You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow
You can finish around 14 rooms in a shift

Nice if you have

Chemical handling training
A supervisor course or time spent running a floor
Basic first aid certificate
