Civil Draughtsperson (Municipal Services)

You'll turn engineers' sketches into accurate drawings for the steel fabrication company in Mbombela. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

This post is Mbombela-based, with most of your time spent at a steel fabrication company.

• Prepare electrical single line diagrams and cable routing drawings
• Take site measurements to check existing conditions
• Produce bills of materials from 3D models
• Draw general arrangements, details and fabrication drawings in AutoCAD or Inventor
• Draft civil layouts, longitudinal sections and cross sections for services
• Update drawings after engineer comments and track revisions

• Good time planning when several projects need drawings at once
• Neat and accurate, with a habit of checking your own work
• Advanced skills in AutoCAD plus one 3D package
• Able to read engineers' mark-ups and ask the right questions
• National Diploma or N6 in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering, or a draughting qualification

• Revit or Civil 3D experience
• Workshop or site background
• Registration with ECSA as a Candidate Engineering Technician

• Paid training on new software
