Job Description

Every wall and slab on this shopping centre renovation in Hammarsdale needs labourers, and the crew needs one more. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Location: Hammarsdale, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

What your day looks like

Dig trenches and foundations to the depth the foreman marks
Clear rubble and load it into skips
Sign the daily safety talk register before work starts
Help offload deliveries of steel, timber and pipes
Compact soil and layer bedding sand with a plate compactor

Must-haves

Prepared to travel between sites in the area
Able to follow instructions from a foreman or artisan
Physically strong and fit for outdoor work in all weather
A clean record is preferred for some government sites
You take safety rules seriously and wear full PPE
Willing to start early, often at 06:30

What you get
