Clinic Cleaner (Day Shift)

You'll keep a private hospital in Soweto safe for patients by cleaning the way infection control demands. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Location: Soweto, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

• Take soiled linen to the sluice room and bring clean linen back
• Handle and bag medical waste in the right coloured bins
• Mop spills of blood or fluids using the spill kit
• Disinfect bed rails, call bells and bedside lockers
• Do terminal cleans of isolation rooms after a patient is discharged
• Wear gowns, masks and gloves as each room requires

• Willing to follow strict infection control steps every time
• Matric or Grade 11
• Respectful and discreet around patients
• Calm under pressure in busy wards
