Clinic Cleaner (Day Shift)

You'll keep a frail care centre in Umlazi safe for patients by cleaning the way infection control demands. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Location: Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Move patients' belongings and equipment when rooms change
• Clean theatres between operations to the hospital's turnaround times
• Handle and bag medical waste in the right coloured bins
• Disinfect bed rails, call bells and bedside lockers
• Clean patient rooms using colour-coded cloths and mops for each area
• Fill in cleaning logs so infection control can audit the ward

• Up to date with vaccinations the hospital requires, such as hepatitis B
• Calm under pressure in busy wards
• Able to work shifts including weekends and night duty
