Cloud Engineer (AWS) – Experienced

You'll keep servers, networks and cloud services up and secure for a financial services company in Ballito. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

This post is Ballito-based, with most of your time spent at a financial services company. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Review security logs and investigate suspicious sign-ins
• Plan hardware refreshes and licence renewals with a budget
• Run and test backups, and do regular restore drills
• Configure switches, VLANs, VPNs and firewall rules
• Monitor servers, links and firewalls and act on alerts
• Handle access requests and keep records that support POPIA compliance

• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python
• Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
• At least 3 years in systems, network or cloud administration
• Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
• Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts

• CCNA, Fortinet NSE or MikroTik certification
• Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or AWS Solutions Architect Associate
