CNC Machinist (Lathe & Milling) – Immediate Start

Bearings, gearboxes, pumps and lathes: this beverage bottling plant in Bethlehem needs your hands on them. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

Home base is a beverage bottling plant on the Bethlehem side of Free State. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Inspect and adjust conveyors, chains and sprockets
• Record work and spares used on the job card or CMMS
• Build and repair press tools, jigs and moulds
• Machine shafts, bushes and keyways on a lathe and milling machine
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems on production lines
• Program and run CNC machines from engineering drawings

• N2 or N3 engineering subjects
• Willing to work shifts, standby and weekend shutdowns
• Basic understanding of the General Machinery Regulations
• Trade test as Fitter and Turner, Fitter, Millwright or Toolmaker
• You read engineering drawings and measure with micrometers and verniers

• Paid overtime on shutdowns
• Tool allowance
• Chance to study further toward a technician diploma
• Shift and standby allowances

• Write your trade and trade test year first, then the machines you know, like "Filling lines, pumps, gearboxes".
• If you can machine parts as well as fit them, say so clearly. Many factories want both skills in one person.
