Cocktail Bartender

This is a floor job at a beachfront cocktail bar in Centurion where your tips follow your service. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll be based at a beachfront cocktail bar in Centurion. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Set tables, polish cutlery and glasses, and check condiments before doors open.
• Greet guests, seat them and hand over menus within a minute of arrival.
• Explain specials, allergens and wine pairings in plain words.
• Check back two minutes after mains land and fix problems on the spot.
• Restock the bar fridges and help with the weekly stock count.

• Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
• Own transport or a safe way home after late shifts
• You speak clear English and can chat easily with guests
• You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift

• Responsible Service of Alcohol training
• A second language such as isiZulu, isiXhosa or Afrikaans

• You keep your own tips, paid out daily or weekly
• Uniform supplied and laundered
• Late-shift lift home within a set radius

• Walk in with your CV between 2pm and 4pm when managers have time, not during lunch or dinner service.
• Put the names of the restaurants you worked at and your average covers per shift at the top of your CV.
