Job Description

Good service at a sports bar and grill in Centurion starts with you: friendly, quick and on top of every order. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is Centurion-based, with most of your time spent at a sports bar and grill. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What your day looks like

Greet guests, seat them and hand over menus within a minute of arrival.
Mix cocktails, pour draught and serve shooters to spec at the bar.
Split bills, process card payments and handle tip-outs at the end of shift.
Refuse service to anyone under 18 or visibly drunk, as the Liquor Act requires.
Set tables, polish cutlery and glasses, and check condiments before doors open.
Restock the bar fridges and help with the weekly stock count.
Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.

You'll need

At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience
Neat grooming and a friendly manner under pressure
You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
Quick with basic maths and card machines

Helpful, not essential

Responsible Service of Alcohol training
A second language such as isiZulu, isiXhosa or Afrikaans
Wine knowledge from a WSET Level 1 or wine farm stint
