Cocktail Bartender

You'll look after tables at a beachfront cocktail bar in Epping, from the first greeting to the final bill. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Epping-based, with most of your time spent at a beachfront cocktail bar. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Greet guests, seat them and hand over menus within a minute of arrival.
• Set tables, polish cutlery and glasses, and check condiments before doors open.
• Mix cocktails, pour draught and serve shooters to spec at the bar.
• Explain specials, allergens and wine pairings in plain words.
• Carry plates to the right seat without auctioning food at the table.

• You speak clear English and can chat easily with guests
• Grade 10 or higher; matric is a plus
• Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays
• Quick with basic maths and card machines
• Own transport or a safe way home after late shifts
• You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift

• A second language such as isiZulu, isiXhosa or Afrikaans
• A barista course certificate or latte-art skills

• Staff meal on every shift
• You keep your own tips, paid out daily or weekly
• Uniform supplied and laundered
