Job Description

You'll look after tables at a beachfront cocktail bar in Hammarsdale, from the first greeting to the final bill. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is a beachfront cocktail bar on the Hammarsdale side of KwaZulu-Natal.

What your day looks like

Set tables, polish cutlery and glasses, and check condiments before doors open.
Clear, wipe and reset tables fast during the Friday and Sunday rush.
Greet guests, seat them and hand over menus within a minute of arrival.
Split bills, process card payments and handle tip-outs at the end of shift.
Restock the bar fridges and help with the weekly stock count.
Mix cocktails, pour draught and serve shooters to spec at the bar.
Explain specials, allergens and wine pairings in plain words.

Must-haves

Own transport or a safe way home after late shifts
You can stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
At least 6 months of waitering, bar or coffee shop experience
Happy to work nights, weekends and public holidays

Nice if you have

Wine knowledge from a WSET Level 1 or wine farm stint
A barista course certificate or latte-art skills
