Job Description

You'll carry passengers safely around Epping for a mine shift transport service, on time and by the timetable. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is Epping-based, with most of your time spent at a mine shift transport service.

What you'll actually do

Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
Pick up and drop off schoolchildren only at approved points
Follow speed limits strictly; buses are tracked
Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits
Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding

You'll need

At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
Valid PrDP for passengers (P)
Patient and friendly with passengers
Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
Punctual for very early starts
Clean driving and criminal record

Helpful, not essential

Experience on mine or staff transport routes
Tour coach experience with charters
Fluent in more than one language
