Job Description

Passengers in Isando trust a school transport operator to get them there safely, and that trust is on your shoulders. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

The site is in Isando; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

The work, day to day

  • Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters
  • Write the trip log with times, kilometres and fuel
  • Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
  • Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits
  • Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit
  • Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding
  • Follow speed limits strictly; buses are tracked

Must-haves

  • Valid PrDP for passengers (P)
  • Clean driving and criminal record
  • Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
  • At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
  • Medically fit

Extra points for

  • First-aid certificate
  • Experience on mine or staff transport routes

What you get

  • Tips and trip allowances on tour charters
  • Split-shift allowance on staff transport routes
  • Paid passenger PrDP renewal
  • Company uniform
