Job Description

Passengers in Kempton Park trust a mine shift transport service to get them there safely, and that trust is on your shoulders. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

The work is in Kempton Park, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

What you'll actually do

Keep the bus clean inside and report any damage
Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable
Write the trip log with times, kilometres and fuel
Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding
Pick up and drop off schoolchildren only at approved points
Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters
Count passengers and make sure nobody stands beyond the limit

Must-haves

Punctual for very early starts
Patient and friendly with passengers
Clean driving and criminal record
Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving

Extra points for

Tour coach experience with charters
Experience on mine or staff transport routes
Fluent in more than one language
