Job Description

Passengers in Soweto trust a staff transport contractor to get them there safely, and that trust is on your shoulders. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Location: Soweto, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

The work, day to day

Give tourists a friendly welcome and help with luggage on charters
Pick up and drop off schoolchildren only at approved points
Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable
Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
Keep the bus clean inside and report any damage
Follow speed limits strictly; buses are tracked
Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits

What you need

Punctual for very early starts
Valid PrDP for passengers (P)
Clean driving and criminal record
Patient and friendly with passengers
Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving

Nice if you have

Experience on mine or staff transport routes
Tour coach experience with charters
Fluent in more than one language
