Mine Bus Driver (Shift Transport)

You'll carry passengers safely around Benoni for a staff transport contractor, on time and by the timetable. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll be based at a staff transport contractor in Benoni. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Handle breakdowns calmly and keep passengers safe until help arrives
• Check passenger tickets, tags or staff cards when boarding
• Write the trip log with times, kilometres and fuel
• Inspect the bus before each trip: tyres, brakes, doors, emergency exits
• Drive fixed routes and keep to the timetable
• Follow speed limits strictly; buses are tracked

• Medically fit
• At least 3 years of bus or taxi driving
• Punctual for very early starts
• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 licence
• Clean driving and criminal record

• Fluent in more than one language
• Experience on mine or staff transport routes

• Paid passenger PrDP renewal
• Company uniform
• Tips and trip allowances on tour charters
• Split-shift allowance on staff transport routes

• Write "PrDP P valid until" with the date, right at the top of your CV. It is the first thing a bus operator checks.
• Mention the number of passengers you have driven and the vehicle type, like "65-seater" or "22-seater midibus".
